Set Up a High Efficiency, High Production Riveting Station

When setting up high efficiency, high production riveting stations, most engineers make the same mistake, they reach for a bottle. While bottle type rivet guns have reached higher ergonomic plateaus through the use of lightweight polymers, they still require a great deal of maintenance in a very short time.

The solution to this expensive problem of bleeding is the GBP801CV riveting system. The Gage Bilt system uses long life cylinder technology that extends the bleeding life 10 times over bottle tools. Gage Bilt has incorporated a quick exhaust system that produces one of the fastest installation systems available for blind riveting. It features a heavy-duty, lightweight aluminum construction pistol grip or in-line handle. This is attached to a hose assembly with 360-degree rotation, reducing the drag associated with many umbilical systems.

The GBP801CV not only the reduces the cost of bleeding, but when using Gage Bilts’ long stroke tools, double pulling is eliminated entirely. Safety and housekeeping has been greatly promoted through the utilization of a vacuum system and collector attached to the power module. It is capable of retaining thousands of pintails before emptying is necessary. The weight of these nails goes into the collector, not the users hand, as in most bottle type systems.

There are two basic configurations for the GBP801. It can be hung over the workstation or placed on the floor; wheels are optional.

Quality assurance of your placement is an optional feature. Now rivet verification is possible through a number of methods. The GBP5000 qualification system allows the end user to verify the pulling of the rivet. It will account for the number of rivets pulled and interdict the movement of holding jigs until the proper amount of rivets have been pulled.

This system is married to your P.C. Quality review of complete assemblies or quantities of assemblies is possible

Gage Bilt can also offer a simpler qualifying system through the counting of spent pintails to assure the quantity of rivets installed. Eliminate the cost of double pulling and frequent bleeding and install rivets at the fastest speeds obtainable with the GBP801CV. Whatever configuration you require, contact Gage Bilt at www.gagebilt.com for the fastest and most competitive solution to your problem.
