Bosch Rexroth Acquires Semiconductor, Medical Motion Control Firm

LOHR, Germany-Drive and control company Bosch Rexroth Corp. has acquired Nyquist BV (Eindhoven, Netherlands), which specializes in motion control applications in the semiconductor and medical manufacturing industries.

"We've acquired what we need to aggressively address the semiconductor and medical markets," says Wolfgang Dangel, president and CEO for Bosch Rexroth in North America. "We've already established ourselves in these segments as an excellent supplier of linear motion and pneumatic systems. This acquisition gives us another strong product line in the electric drives and controls group and allows us to offer drive and control expertise across all technologies."

According to Dangel, "By adding Nyquist's products we can offer solutions not just as individual components, but also as combined products all from one source to help OEMs streamline their machine design, engineering, supply chain and assembly needs."
