ATLANTA-A July MfgOutlook survey of 500 buyers of manufacturing services reveals that 58 percent of respondents will spend more money in August on manufacturing services than they spent in July.

According to this survey, the Internet is gaining wider acceptance as a tool for buyers of manufacturing services. Sixty-four percent indicate that their preferred method for discovering new suppliers and sourcing new services is the Internet. And 64 percent of buyers spend more than $5,000 per month on manufacturing services, with 38 percent sourcing manufacturing services more than five times every month.

When selecting a supplier, quality (50 percent) and price (45 percent) seem to be the major influences.
