Auto Parts Assembly Plant Coming to Kentucky

GLASGOW, KY-Canadian auto parts supplier Fortis Manufacturing plans to locate its first U.S. assembly plant here. The company plans to invest $5.1 million in the project, which is expected to be operational by January 2012. MORE

The company has a 12,000-square-foot assembly area and employs 20 full-time harness assemblers - far cry from its early days back in 1986, when founder Chuck Hall and various family members assembled harnesses in his garage.
