Adam Malofsky, PhD Adam Malofsky, PhD
CEO, Nano Catalytics, Inc.
CEO, Wellspring Material Ventures

Adam life focuses upon materials and manufacturing trends and opportunity identification, with subsequent evaluation, assessment and finally, where logical, venture creation through to commercialization. A 35-year veteran of the performance chemicals, polymers and materials industries, Dr. Adam Malofsky has held numerous leadership positions in a variety of start-up opportunities, both private and within corporate America.

Adam is known for identifying white space opportunities and then employing practical, high speed, value-oriented development strategies that frequently allow for the successful commercialization of new technology platforms, not simply evolutionary improvements. With seven ventures both independently and within the corporate world completed or in progress and dozens of new materials and manufacturing products and methods commercialized, Adam thoroughly enjoys when someone says it’s impossible and then proves it is indeed possible.

Adam lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his entrepreneur wife Robin and they have two adult entrepreneur children, Brandon of Iron Hook Strategies and Nicole, an NSF fellow bioengineering PhD student at Vanderbilt and a private equity advisor and startup mentor at Alloy.

Adam received a BS in chemical engineering from Lehigh University and both an MS and PhD in polymer science in only three years at the University of Connecticut, writing his own multimillion dollar grants.
