Approximately 40 years ago, Timken Co. (Canton, OH) designed bearings for Rolls- Royce Corp.'s original Model 250 aircraft engine. Over the years, Timken Aerospace, a subsidiary of The Timken Co., has supplied 27 bearing part numbers for the engines. Rolls-Royce wants that trend to continue. So now whenever Rolls-Royce needs new bearings, it looks no further than Timken. Timken Co. is the sole provider of bearings for the Model 250 engines, and the new agreement will add 11 additional bearing part numbers.
