The decision to use robotics for dispensing adhesives arose from the number of welders and manhours required to weld the overflow on the lavatories. In the search to streamline the process, the company chose St¿li's (Duncan, SC) RX90. This system is now working the day shift, 6 days a week, with a cycle time of 7.72 seconds.

Using adhesive on the overflow increases the life of the lavatories by producing a uniform seal. This automated dispensing process greatly increases production while keeping down the cost. The robot cell is located in the enamel area and is operator-free.
