Spring Washer vs LOCTITE
Threaded fasteners have gaps between nuts and bolts, causing limited contact in the assembly. A variety of mechanical fasteners are used to lock threaded assemblies in place and to maintain desired clamp load. While these improve the situation in some regards, these traditional methods are still ineffective as they cannon tackle the gap. This gap allows vibration to cause side-to-side micro movement that can lead to self-loosening.
