STATESBORO, GA—Auto parts manufacturer Joon Georgia Inc. is investing $317 million to build a new assembly plant here. The project is expected to create 317 jobs.

The factory is the first confirmed supplier for the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, the massive $5-billion electric vehicle assembly plant under construction in nearby Bryan County. Operations are planned to begin in mid-2024.

“We are excited to be one of the first Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America automotive suppliers to build an automotive parts manufacturing facility in Bulloch County and for our first plant in the great State of Georgia,” says Jung Ho Sea, CEO of Ajin USA.

Joon Georgia is part of Ajin USA, a supplier for multiple Hyundai Motor Group facilities. The company produces a variety of automotive body parts and electronics for automotive OEMs.
