Siemens Opens Assembly Plant to Produce EV Chargers
CARROLLTON, TX—Siemens has opened a new assembly plant here to produce chargers for electric vehicles. The company’s second EV charger manufacturing hub in the U.S., the factory will help the company meet its goal of producing 1 million EV chargers for the U.S. market.
The new facility will support the creation of 100 new jobs. The Carrollton plant marks the latest Siemens investment to strengthen and expand its U.S. footprint, including $3 billion spent over the past four years in U.S. manufacturing expansions and strategic merger and acquisition activities.
