FORT SMITH, AR—Whirlpool has reached a resolution with property owners in a class-action lawsuit related to contaminated groundwater near the company’s former assembly plant here.

GREENVILLE, OH—To meet strong demand for small appliances, Whirlpool Corp. is investing $40 million and adding 400 jobs to the KitchenAid assembly plant here.

BENTON HARBOR, MI—Whirlpool Corp. is moving production of its commercial front-load washing machines from Monterrey, Mexico, to Clyde, OH. Approximately 80 to 100 new jobs will be created in Clyde during the next three years to support the relocation.

CLEVELAND, TN—Whirlpool Corp.’s new assembly plant here has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
