Human-Centric Bipedal Robot Digit to Assist Amazon Employees with Repetitive Tasks

CORVALLIS, OR—Agility Robotics, creator of the groundbreaking bipedal robot Digit, announced that Amazon will begin testing Digit for use in their operations. Digit will first be tested at Amazon’s robotics research and development facility just south of Seattle.
SALEM, OR—Agility Robotics will soon open a new factory here to produce its bipedal humanoid robot Digit. Dubbed RoboFab, the factory will be able to produce more than 10,000 robots per year.
Engineers at Queen Mary University here have developed a sensor that enhances tactile capabilities in robots, allowing them to “feel” objects and adjust grip accordingly.
