BELVIDERE, IL — The FCA Belvidere assembly plant, home of the Jeep Cherokee, is the latest plant to be designated silver in the company's World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program.
DETROIT, MI —Dakkota Integrated Systems, a company that supplies assembly and sequencing services for the OEM automotive market, plans to construct and operate a 300,000 square-foot manufacturing facility on a portion of the former Kettering High School and Rose Elementary School sites in Detroit, Michigan.
BAODING, CHINA--Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor Co. said on Monday that it was interested in buying the Jeep brand. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the Italian-controlled company that owns Jeep, said it had not heard from Great Wall, however, suggesting that considerable ground would have to be covered before a deal could be reached.
