Danny Norman is NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership’s Advanced Manufacturing Consultant at the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services. Danny supports manufacturers with I4.0 and automation assessments that provide a staring point to consider advanced technology investments. Danny prides himself on his ability to see the connections between emerging technology and opportunities on the plant floor. In 2019 Danny worked with New York and Washington MEP to provide a nationwide service that finds specialized skillsets that manufacturers need to innovate. Before joining UT Center for Industrial Services, Danny worked in industry to license and commercialize technologies from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Y-12. Danny holds a bachelor's in engineering mechanics from Lipscomb University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee.
