Kurt's career as a sales professional in the manufacturing and automation technology industry began over 40 years ago with his first job as a sales representative at his father's rep group, H.R. Sieber & Co. Since then, Kurt has branched out, garnering solid management, sales, and technical consulting experience in the fields of packaging and manufacturing automation. Returning to his roots in the manufacturing rep world, Kurt now serves as the President of Edge Manufacturing Technologies, where he represents some of the same companies he worked with at H.R. Sieber & Co.
Following his time at H.R. Sieber & Co., Kurt was a Regional Sales Manager at a machinery builder, Reed Enterprises, before going on to launch Advantage Puck Technologies, Inc., a start-up that specialized in the design and manufacturing of injection molded puck technology. During 14 years of Kurt’s leadership, Advantage Puck successfully completed more than 300 installations in 25 different countries. Kurt then spent six years as a Partner with IPACC, Inc., a packaging consulting company in Maryland that specializes in puck technology and new packaging concepts. Kurt's work at IPACC reconnected him with Dan Baumann of Baumann Machinery, a manufacturer rep group. This encounter led to Kurt joining as a partner with Baumann Machinery in 2013.
Since taking over at Baumann Machinery in 2015, Kurt has grown the sales team, expanded their territory and formed exciting new partnerships. In early 2022, Baumann Machinery rebranded as Edge Manufacturing Technologies, which marked a new chapter for the team and the first steps of an aggressive long-term plan to reimagine the business and challenge the current rep model.
