Stephen F. Hamilton retired from Cornell University after 41 years as a Professor of Human Development, Associate Provost for Outreach, Department Chair, Center Co-Director and Associate Director. After serving for a year as Dean of the High Tech High Graduate School of Education and two years as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Diego, he is now an independent scholar. Stephen is currently consulting for a project at the Urban Institute to promote youth apprenticeship. In the past he has done program evaluation and background research for program development. Stephen recently wrote a book on lessons for current career pathways initiatives from the school-to-work movement (1980s-90s) - Career Pathways for All Youth: Lessons from the School-to-Work Movement (Harvard Education Press, 2020).
