COME AND ATTEND ON YOUR WAY BACK HOME FROM JEC IN PARIS
To highlight developments in composite joining that are pushing the boundaries in a variety of sectors.
Much of the research effort in composites in recent years has focused on their manufacture – to automate their lay up and speed up their cure and much of the low hanging fruit has already been had. However, when it comes to their assembly and joining to other components of similar or dissimilar materials, often traditional fastening technology is used.
The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) in partnership with the Irish Composites Centre (IComp) are organising this event where developments in composite joining that are pushing the boundaries in a variety of sectors both where composites have become mainstream and also in newer applications will be highlighted.
Abstracts are invited from speakers interested in presenting their work. These need not be longer than 300 words and must be received by 16 January. Please send to ajay.kapadia@ktn-uk.org and Terry.McGrail@ul.ie.
If successful, you will be notified and invited to speak no later than 20 January
Ticket price £35 + VAT per person.
