Avoid Event Scams

Numerous companies have been contacting The ASSEMBLY Show attendees, sponsors and exhibitors claiming to sell/rent The ASSEMBLY Show attendee list. Any third party attempting to solicit money in exchange for attendee information is fraudulent. Neither The ASSEMBLY Show nor any of our partners will ever distribute attendee information except as outlined in our sponsorship contracts and privacy policy.

Many of these firms are increasingly deceptive and aggressive in their marketing tactics - sometimes falsely including The ASSEMBLY Show logo/website/name in their email signatures.  These companies have no affiliation with The ASSEMBLY Show, ASSEMBLY Magazine or BNP Media and should be ignored. Unfortunately, because company names and “From” email addresses frequently change, it makes it very challenging to stop their actions.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience that these spammers cause you — we also receive these deceptive emails:

The ASSEMBLY Show, with the help of OnPeak, has secured a number of discounted room rates at several hotels conveniently located around the convention center to make your trip to Rosemont, IL affordable. OnPeak is the only official hotel partner affiliated with The ASSEMBLY Show in 2021.

Avoid companies falsely posing as a partner of the Show. Companies or attendees who book rooms through a “third party room broker” often end up at sold out hotels with no reservations and no recourse for the payment of rooms. These brokers falsely imply they are affiliated with The ASSEMBLY Show and secure deposits and/or full prepayment fraudulently.

The ASSEMBLY Show does not work with any third party to sell advertising or sponsorships. If you are interested in advertising in The ASSEMBLY Show Guide, or participating in any other sponsorship opportunity, please contact your ASSEMBLY sales manager.
