ROSEMONT, IL, October 28, 2021 - The 9th Annual ASSEMBLY Show is wrapping up today at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL with the exhibit hall open from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. The annual event is co-located with The Quality Show and one badge gives attendees access to both events.

Over 300 companies exhibiting on two show floors
Over the past two days thousands of manufacturing professionals have visited over 300 companies on the two show floors, attended dozens of education sessions, and networked at several exciting events.

Sudhanshu Gaur
Sudhanshu Gaur, Chief Architect for Smart Manufacturing at Hitachi Astemo, a major automotive technology company formed this year with the merger of four Honda and Hitachi Tier One companies, discussed the status of smart manufacturing at the opening keynote presentation. 

Plant of the Year Award - GKN Automotive
Prior to the keynote ASSEMBLY Magazine presented the Plant of the Year Award to GKN Automotive, a Tier One supplier headquartered in London.

Learning Theaters
Several exhibitors demonstrated their company's expertise related to the latest technological advances in assembly in the Learning Theaters in the Exhibit Hall

Pub Night Reception
Attendees and exhibitors from both The ASSEMBLY Show and the Quality Show enjoyed a chance to network in the Pub Night Reception sponsored by ASG.

  • Morning Mingle & Breakfast (9:00 -10:00 am) Kick off the day with a complimentary breakfast on the show floor. 
  • Announcement of Product of the Year Awards (9:30 am in booth #2025) - Winners in each category will be announced in the 3rd annual New Product of the Year contest. Twenty products were nominated across five categories: Assembly Machines & Systems; Adhesives, Dispensing & Curing; Fastening Tools; Robotics; and Factory of the Future.
  • Guided Tours of the Exhibit Floor - At 10:00 am John Sprovieri, Editor in Chief of ASSEMBLY Magazine will lead the Fastening Tools Tour with stops at ASG, Division of Jergens, Inc., Crane Electronics, Panasonic Assembly Tools, Sturtevant Richmont, and TorqTec. At 11:15 am Jim Camillo, Senior Editor of ASSEMBLY Magazine will lead the Automated Assembly Tour with stops at Arthur G. Russell Co., ATC Automation, Genesis Automation, IMA Automation, and Prime Test Automation. At 12:30 pm ASSEMBLY Magazine's Austin Weber will lead the Industry 4.0 Tour with stops at Banner Engineering Corp., Bosch Rexroth Corp., Daifuku Jervis B. Webb Co., Festo, and Real Time Automation.
