Economically, the TPS lessens conflicts between economic growth and environmental stewardship by eliminating overburden, unevenness and waste. Sociologically, the TPS reconciles the creative nature of people with the mundane requirements of modern industrial work by re-introducing craftsmanship into industrial operation.
