Toyota Halts Production Line After Workers Contract COVID
TAKAOKA, Japan—Toyota Motor Corp. paused production at its assembly plant here for several days last week due to a COVID outbreak among employees.
The pause delayed production of some 650 vehicles, including the company’s popular Corolla model. It’s the first time since January that Toyota has shut down an assembly line at a domestic plant due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
