EV Charging Company Opening Assembly Plant in Texas
ARLINGTON, TX—Wallbox, a manufacturer of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment, will build its first U.S. assembly plant here.
The 130,000 square foot factory will have enough capacity to fully support Wallbox’s expansion plans in North America for the next decade. Production is expected to start as early as June 2022 with an assembly line for Wallbox’s Pulsar Plus AC chargers. Assembly lines for the company’s Quasar DC bidirectional charger and Supernova DC fast charger are expected to start in the first half of 2023. Wallbox expects to assemble 290,000 units annually at the facility by 2027 and reach full capacity of 500,000 units by 2030.
