$250 Million Battery Plant in Tennessee to Create 230 Jobs
JACKSON, TN—6K Energy, the cathode materials production division of 6K Inc., plans to establish a full-scale PlusCAM battery material manufacturing plant here. The $250 million project is expected to create 230 jobs in Madison County.
The investment will be supported by a $50 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. The facility will be the world’s first UniMelt plasma cathode plant, providing low cost, sustainable production of battery material for localized supply chains in the U.S.
