ATLANTA—Lockheed Martin has added a new epoxy from Magnolia Advanced Materials to its engineering materials and approved products (EMAP) list.

The EMAP list contains all the materials and products needed to manufacture aerospace parts designed by Lockheed Martin. All suppliers making such parts must use materials from the list. Although the list is applicable to all of Lockheed’s programs and manufacturing sites, it’s primarily for the F-35 program.

The newest addition to the list is Magnolia 6389 A/B epoxy in 5-gallon bulk containers. Magnolia 6389 A/B is a carbon fiber-filled epoxy designed for use as a liquid shim gap filler in composite applications that require high temperature resistance and compressive strength.

Magnolia Advanced Materials is a privately held manufacturer of custom high-performance epoxies.
