CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA — Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co., the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers, recently announced that the company broke its all-time record for trailer production in 2019.
ATLANTA—Caterpillar plans to build a new assembly plant in Georgia, bringing an estimated 1,400 jobs to the state. The plant will be built in the Athens area.
SUPERIOR, MN—Kestrel is now hiring for positions at its new assembly plant here. The first 11 jobs are now posted on the company’s Web site. The company plans to hire 300 to 600 people over the next several years.
MESA, AZ—Medical device manufacturer Ulthera Inc. is investing $1.68 million to expand its assembly plant here, creating more than 100 high-paying jobs.
DODGE CITY, KS—Curtis Machine, a manufacturer of gearboxes for agricultural, printing and food processing machinery, is building a new assembly plant here.
PEORIA, IL—Caterpillar Inc. won’t choose its home state of Illinois as the site of its new $150 million assembly plant, citing the state’s “unfriendly” business climate.
BLUE SPRINGS, MS—Toyota Motor Corp. is adding a second shift at its assembly plant here. The extra shift will boost annual production capacity at the plant to 150,000 units and employment to 2,000 workers.
