FORT WORTH, TX—Union members at Lockheed Martin’s assembly plant here have voted to ratify a new contract that includes wage hikes and improvements to retirement benefits. The facility produces the F-35 fighter.

WASHINGTON—The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers this week opened an organizing office in Mobile, AL, to provide support for Airbus workers interested in forming a union at the company’s soon-to-be-completed final assembly line.

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC—The Machinists union may withdraw its request to hold a union vote next week for production workers at Boeing’s manufacturing operations here. The union has faced political opposition and may not win a majority vote from workers.

ST. LOUIS—The Boeing Co. has reached a contract agreement with members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers that moves workers from a traditional pension plan to enrollment in the company’s 401k plan and offers eligible members a signing bonus and wage increases over the life of the contract, which expires in July 2022.

SEATTLE—Angry Boeing machinists have filed eight charges of unfair labor practices with the National Labor Relations Board, alleging their union’s top leaders manipulated a recent contract vote, and demanding that ballots be recast.
