SPIROL Ground Hollow Dowels for Precision Alignment
February 1, 2012
SPIROL® Series GD100 Ground Hollow Dowels are designed to be direct replacements for Ground Solid Dowels per ISO 8734 when used in alignment applications. The new GD100 achieves the same alignment as Solid Dowels with an approximate 30% reduction in cost and a 50% reduction in weight.
On Demand Automated assembly applications have consistently demanded higher precision from robots and other mechanical devices, and higher resolution from sensors to position those mechanical devices. Humatics has developed a patented radio frequency-based technology, called Microlocation, that creates highly-precise real-time location data for high-value objects to enable three dimensional control and visibility, even in highly unstructured environments, enabling a wide range of process improvements including cycle time, quality and human/robot efficiencies.Sponsored by:
