Adept Acquires Chad Industries

SAN JOSE, CA--Robotics manufacturer Adept Technology Inc. has acquired Chad Industries Inc. (Orange, CA).
Founded in 1973, Chad manufactures equipment to automate assembly of odd-form components in printed circuit boards. Chad's machines often incorporate Adept robots.
Adept purchased Chad to increase its production of semi-automatic and fully automatic assembly machines for fiber optic components.
