GM Adds Third Shift in Texas

ARLINGTON, TX—GM has hired 1,000 new workers to build large SUVs at its assembly plant here. The new jobs are part of a $500 million expansion that includes a new stamping facility set to open next year.

SHENZHEN, China—China Labor Watch has discovered child labor at HTNS Shenzhen Co., an assembly plant that makes Samsung cell phones. This comes just two weeks after Samsung stated that it did not find any child workers while auditing the factory in September.
