Aerospace Assembler to Hire 45

GREAT FALLS, MT—EMTEQ, a company specializing in technology for airline cabin comfort and power systems, officially opened its new assembly plant here. The company has already hired 20 employees and expects to hire 45 more by the end of the year.

CHATTANOOGA, TN—Volkswagen is adding 200 jobs at its new assembly plant here as it increases production capacity by 13 percent. The new jobs will raise employment levels at the plant there to just over 2,700.

Caterpillar Plant to Add Nearly 200 Jobs in NC

February 2, 2012

CLAYTON, NC--Caterpillar plans to add 199 well-paying jobs at its plant here over the next five years. The company will invest $33 million in the plant, which manufactures earth-moving equipment. Caterpillar chose Clayton over sites in Illinois, Japan, Belgium and Brazil--all locations where it has existing manufacturing plants.

Continental Investing $113 Million in Texas Assembly Plant

SEGUIN, TX—Automotive supplier Continental will invest more than $113 million in its assembly plant here, adding production of automotive sensors. This facility will be the first outside of Asia and Europe to assemble these components, and will create approximately 300 full-time jobs over the next five years.
