Sikorsky Helicopter Plant Gets Solar Energy

STRATFORD, CT-Sikorsky Aircraft unveiled its first solar energy system with the activation of 450 roof-mounted panels expected to convert sunlight into 1 percent of the power needed to operate the helicopter manufacturing plant. Located on the roof of the engineering building, the system will annually generate 106,250 kilowatt hours of renewable energy. MORE
