WAUSEON, OH-Horse Power Sales.net Inc. and HP2G LLC officially opened the first facility to assemble their revolutionary V-8 engine, which gets 110 miles per gallon. The facility will also serve as the companies’ research and development operations center. The engine runs on E85, an alcohol-based fuel. WASHINGTON-Orders placed at U.S. factories in April rose for the second time in three months, as demand for automobiles, electrical equipment and construction machinery increased. Bookings gained 0.7 percent, after a revised 1.9 percent drop in March, the Commerce Department said today. LOS ANGELES-Los Angeles redevelopment officials are drawing closer to an agreement with an Italian rail car company that hopes to build a manufacturing plant on a prized city site east of downtown.
