SENATOBIA, MS—ABB is locating a new assembly operation here for low-voltage electrical products. The project will create 200 new jobs by its third year of operation, with another 100 expected to be added by the fifth year.
GREENWOOD, MS—Milwaukee Tool will lease a building adjacent to its existing assembly plant here to expand its manufacturing operations. The project represents an investment of $16.8 million and creation of 126 jobs.
BALDWYN, MS—To accommodate an increase in production, reclining furniture manufacturer Southern Motion is expanding operations at its assembly plant here. The project represents a $600,000 corporate investment and will create 60 jobs over the next 12 months.
VERONA, MS—United Furniture Industries will invest $2.75 million to locate a new assembly operation at an old factory here. The facility is expected to create at least 200 new jobs.
CANTON, MS—Nissan Motor Co. has declined U.S. State Department mediation of its dispute with the United Autoworkers over the union’s attempts to organize Nissan’s assembly plant here.
