MENOMONIE, WI—Drug device manufacturer Phillips-Medisize plans to open a new 80,000-square-foot assembly plant here. Expected to create 100 jobs, the factory will assemble high-volume, pre-filled, drug delivery systems.
RACINE, WI—InSinkErator will transition its factory here to an assembly-only plant over the next three years, and much of its motor production will move to other plants both inside and outside the U.S.
FAIRFIELD, CT—General Electric Co. will move production of large, gas-powered engines to Canada from Wisconsin, along with 350 jobs, to access export financing no longer available in the United States. In its latest salvo aimed at persuading Congress to renew the U.S. Export-Import Bank’s charter, which expired in June, GE will invest $265 million in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at a Canadian location yet to be determined.
WASHINGTON—The Pentagon has awarded Oshkosh Defense a $30 billion contract to build nearly 55,000 joint light tactical vehicles for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps over the next 25 years.

MINERAL POINT, WI—Cummins Engineered Solutions has unveiled its expanded assembly plant here. The company added 20,000 square feet of production space.
WHITEWATER, WI—Generac Power Systems, which makes generators, is part of a growing wave of U.S. manufacturers that have reshored production from China in the past year.
