RIVERSIDE, MO—Tier 1 automotive supplier Martinrea International will open a new assembly plant here to supply components for General Motors, creating as many as 290 new jobs.
LEWISBURG, TN—Meiwa Industry Co. has opened a $6.1 million assembly plant here, its first North American factory. The facility, which makes automotive interior parts, is expected to create more than 100 jobs.
FLETCHER, NC—Automotive supplier Continental opened an 88,000-square-foot expansion of its assembly plant here. The $35 million investment will create approximately 40 new jobs.
RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY—Dr. Schneider Automotive Systems Inc. has officially opened its new, $29 million assembly plant here, which will make parts for Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Audi and other OEMs.
BROOKHAVEN, MS—Delphi Automotive is investing $15 million to upgrade its assembly plant here. The project will include new equipment and other improvements.
NOVI, MI—Automotive exhaust and HVAC supplier Eberspaecher North America Inc. is investing $122 million to expand operations in Michigan. The five-year expansion plan, beginning in late 2014, is expected to create 545 jobs.
AUBURN HILLS, MI—BorgWarner will expand its Powertrain Technical Center here. The expansion is expected to be complete in early 2015 and support up to 200 regular full-time jobs.
