BOWLING GREEN, KY—Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC has begun construction on a 130,000-square-foot expansion of its wheel-end assembly plant here. The $65 million addition will increase air disc brake production capacity to keep pace with accelerating customer demand in North America.
GEORGETOWN, KY—Toyota Motor Corp. will invest $238 million in its plant here and add production of two vehicles as part of a plan to ramp up spending on its U.S. operations.
PIKEVILLE, KY—Battery manufacturer EnerBlu Inc. will invest $372 million to build a new assembly plant here. The company also plans to spend $40 million to move its headquarters from California to Lexington, KY. Altogether, the two facilities are expected to employ 985 people.
LOUISVILLE, KY—Ford Motor Co. is investing $900 million to upgrade its Kentucky Truck Plant to build all-new Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. This investment is in addition to a $1.3 billion investment the auto maker announced in late 2015.
BARDSTOWN, KY—Thai Summit Kentucky Corp. will invest $110 million to build a new stamping and assembly plant here after signing a deal to supply parts for Ford Motor Co. The company anticipates creating 216 full-time jobs in the coming decade.
AVON LAKE, OH—Ford Motor Co. will add Super Duty chassis cab capacity to its Ohio Assembly Plant here. Until now, Super Duty has been built at the automaker’s Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville.
