ATHENS, GA—Caterpillar’s new assembly plant here could create twice as many indirect jobs as the 1,400 workers who will be on the company’s payroll, Gov. Nathan Deal predicted Tuesday.

NORTH PORT, FL—Pump manufacturer Innomag Solutions is building a new assembly plant here.

PENN TOWNSHIP, PA—Schindler Elevator Corp. has begun constructing a new, environmentally friendly assembly plant here. When completed, the facility will employ some 60 people.

LAFAYETTE, LA—Halliburton has opened a new, $65 million assembly plant here to make complex components for oil-field service operations. The plant will employ 160.

BERLIN—Siemens has built the world’s largest rotor blades for wind turbines. With a length of 75 meters, the giant fiberglass will be installed on a wind turbine in Denmark.
