The Dodge Viper’s production officially ended in 2017 when the Conner Avenue Assembly plant was shut down. Slowing sales and anticipated challenges with meeting updated safety standards were cited as reasons for its retirement.
The seats in the new electric Ford Focus will be made from Repreve, a blend of postindustrial fiber waste and postconsumer waste, such as the plastic water bottles made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
