JASPER, Ind. — Kimball Electronics plans to open a new medical manufacturing facility in Indianapolis. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Friday, Feb. 6.
ERIE, PA—Separation-technologies manufacturer Eriez has completed a major expansion to its facility here. The expanded space will support the company's growth initiatives for global research and development, aftermarket repair and testing, and recycling equipment technology.
FORT WAYNE, IN--ElringKlinger is planning a $23 million expansion of its factory here. The company makes automotive cylinder and head gaskets, as well as components for lithium-ion batteries and fuel cells. It plans to add $20.6 million in manufacturing, logistics and information technology equipment, resulting in the creation of 120 new jobs.
GREENVILLE, OH—Whirlpool’s assembly plant here, which produces about 1.5 million Kitchen Aid mixers and blenders annually, is expanding and bringing some jobs from China. The plant has hired 70 people this summer, and plant leaders expect to hire another 50 in about a week.
CLAYTON, NC--Caterpillar plans to add 199 well-paying jobs at its plant here over the next five years. The company will invest $33 million in the plant, which manufactures earth-moving equipment. Caterpillar chose Clayton over sites in Illinois, Japan, Belgium and Brazil--all locations where it has existing manufacturing plants.
