WASHINGTON—The Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) has compiled a list of “made in USA” products to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday. Most of the companies featured operate small factories that produce specialized goods, such as Fisher Space Pen (Boulder City, NV) and Guardian Bikes (Seymour, IN).
“There is no better way to celebrate 250 years of American history than with products that are actually made here,” says Scott Paul, president of AAM. ‘The American-Made 250 Showcase tells the story of the workers and makers who are building this country.
“Every time we choose to buy an American-made good, we’re investing in our nation’s next 250 years,” claims Paul. “A strong domestic manufacturing base is essential if we want the United States to continue to lead the world and ensure that the American Dream is within reach for generations to come.”
According to Paul, there is “overwhelming demand for locally made goods,” with 81 percent of Americans saying they’re as likely or more likely to buy American-made products.
