SAN JOSE, CA—Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) members will now have extensive access to Frost & Sullivan’s in-depth analyses and strategic information for the electronics manufacturing industry.

Frost & Sullivan reached an agreement with SMTA to make available information regarding research on specific surface mount technology equipment markets worldwide. Frost & Sullivan conducts firsthand market research and produces targeted studies that identify technology developments, track pricing trends and assess competitive initiatives.

"For individual companies, it is often too costly and time-consuming to acquire up-to-the-minute research on particular equipment markets," says Ken Gilleo, SMTA vice president of technical programs and general technologist of Cookson Electronics. "Working with Frost & Sullivan will enable SMTA to acquire that information more efficiently and cost-effectively for our member companies."
