PHILADELPHIA--The U.S. Navy Office of Naval Research has awarded the American Competitiveness Institute (ACI) a $120 million contract to operate the Electronics Manufacturing Productivity Facility (EMPF).
The EMPF develops affordable electronics manufacturing technologies for current and future defense needs. The facility has an outreach program that includes a demonstration factory and teaching center. The ACI transfers the technologies developed at EMPF to the private sector.
