Assembler Fined $2.5M for Immigration Violations

LAUREL, MS-Howard Industries pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to violate immigration laws related to its hiring of illegal immigrants at its transformer assembly plant here. The company agreed to a criminal fine of $2.5 million after nearly 600 illegal immigrants were arrested at the facility in August 2008.MORE
