The microPEM ClampDisk press-on fastener clamps multiple sheets together for small-scale automotive and electronics assemblies. It presses straight onto a 1-millimeter pin or post that has been cast or installed in one of the sheets. The fastener provides a clamping load by flexing the downward facing flanges along the perimeter of the part. It can replace welded screws, nuts and adhesives. The fastener can be easily removed with a sharp-edged tool. The fastener is compatible with multiple types of materials and eliminates the challenges caused by alternative attachments.
