MONROE, MI —La-Z-Boy has announced a temporary closure of its U.S. manufacturing facilities, company-owned stores and regional distribution centers due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The company-wide temporary closure will be reevaluated on April 13. The regional distribution centers are expected to be the last to close, once all in-process orders have been delivered.

La-Z-Boy has furloughed approximately 6,800 employees, which make up nearly 70 percent of the company’s global workforce. In addition, senior management will receive a 50 percent salary reduction and salaried employees will receive a 25 percent salary reduction until further notice.
