BYHALIA, MS—Accelera by Cummins, a joint-venture between Cummins Inc., Daimler Truck North America and Paccar Inc., plans to build a battery factory here. The state-of-the-art facility near Memphis will produce lithium-iron phosphate batteries for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles beginning in 2027.

EVE Energy will serve as the technology partner in the project and will contribute its industry-leading battery cell design and manufacturing expertise.
