Lockheed Martin Unveils Vectis Collaborative Combat Aircraft

Lockheed Martin Vectis, a Group 5 survivable and lethal collaborative combat aircraft (CCA)
NATIONAL HARBOR, MD— This week, Lockheed Martin Skunk Works introduced Vectis, a Group 5 collaborative combat aircraft (CCA) designed to deliver best-in-class survivability, mission flexibility, and affordability for U.S. and allied forces.
Vectis is built as a customizable, stealth-enabled drone framework capable of precision strike, ISR targeting, electronic warfare, and counter-air missions. It integrates seamlessly with fifth-generation and next-gen aircraft, including the F-35, to advance the Pentagon’s Family of Systems vision for future air dominance.
Leveraging decades of stealth and fighter development expertise, Vectis combines digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, and open mission architectures to speed development and reduce costs. Lockheed Martin says it is already ordering parts and assembling a team, with the goal of designing, building, and flying the platform within two years.
“Vectis is not just a platform—it’s a new paradigm for air power,” said OJ Sanchez, vice president and general manager of Skunk Works.
