HOLON Announces First U.S. Production Facility for Autonomous Electric Shuttles

JACKSONVILLE, FL—HOLON, developer of the autonomous electric shuttle HOLON urban, has signed a Term Sheet with InLight Real Estate Partners to build its first U.S. production facility in Jacksonville, Florida.
The partnership marks the official start of industrial production for HOLON’s autonomous shuttle designed for public transport. The 580,000-square-foot facility at Eastport Industrial Park will be the first autonomous vehicle manufacturing site in Florida. Groundbreaking is scheduled for April 2026, with operations expected to begin in the second half of 2027.
According to the University of North Florida, the project will generate over $200 million in local economic impact during construction, create more than 800 jobs—including at least 150 positions at HOLON—and produce $87 million in annual economic output starting in 2028.
In parallel, development of the HOLON urban is advancing rapidly. Test drives are already underway in Hamburg, Germany, as part of the ALIKE project. The vehicle meets FMVSS, ADA, and Build America, Buy America (BABA) standards, positioning it for deployment in the U.S. market.
HOLON will integrate up to 100 autonomous shuttles into JTA’s Ultimate Urban Circulator (U²C) program in downtown Jacksonville, with additional U.S. pilot projects planned for 2026 and beyond.
