EU Motors Launches U.S. Drone Motor Facility to Meet FCC Mandate

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. — EU Motors Sp. z o.o., one of the largest producers of drone motors outside China, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Hallandale Beach, Florida, in response to a federal mandate requiring U.S. drone manufacturers to use domestically produced electric motors.
The expansion follows actions from the Federal Communications Commission in December, which added drone motors and other critical components to its national security list.
EU Motors said the new facility has had positive impacts, allowing the company to deliver fully FCC-compliant motors to U.S. customers while also benefiting from tariff-free production and sourcing key materials, including copper, locally.
"We are so excited to produce drone motors in America," said James Buchheim, Chairman of EU Motors. "We were dreaming of this day for a while, and the FCC requirement just accelerated our dream. We flew tons of machines by air from our Polish assembly line to our new facility in Florida."
The Hallandale Beach plant is operational with an initial capacity of 5,000 motors per month and a roadmap for expansion. The first units rolling off the line are the 3115 Motors, commonly used in FPV drones, and the 1505 Motors, designed for lightweight intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance drones. The company plans to expand production and introduce additional motor models domestically.
The company’s Polish facilities are capable of producing more than 100,000 motors monthly using fully automated robotic lines.
The Hallandale Beach facility will be supported by dedicated in-house engineering and electromagnetic simulation teams, allowing continuous development.
