GRIFFIN, GA — Mitsui Kinzoku Die-Casting Technology America, Inc., a Japanese-based automotive parts manufacturer, will build a $20 million manufacturing facility here. The project is expected to create more than 30 new jobs.
DALTON, GA—The South Korean company Hanwha Q Cells USA has opened the largest solar module manufacturing plant in North America. The $200 million factory will employ 650 people and produce enough solar panels each year to generate as much peak power as the Hoover Dam.

NAGOYA, Japan—Japanese appliance manufacturer Rinnai will start producing gas-powered tankless water heaters in the United States. The company will initially lease a plant in Georgia and later build its own assembly plant there. Investment will total some $79 million.
COLUMBUS, GA—Firearms and accessories manufacturer will invest $28.5 million to consolidate its New Hampshire manufacturing operations in a new 50,000-square-foot assembly plant here. The project will create 84 new jobs over the next two years.
AUGUSTA, GA—Textron Specialized Vehicles, the company behind E-Z-GO golf carts, plans to build a new assembly plant here and add up to 400 jobs. The $40 million facility will be built on a 238-acre site near the’ existing Augusta plant.
MACON, GA—Boeing will invest $80 million to expand its assembly plant here to produce 747 fuselage panels beginning in 2018. The jetmaker expects to employ up to 200 associates in three years.
TRENTON, GA—Vanguard National Trailer Corp. is building a new assembly plant here that eventually will employ 400 people and crank out 10,000 semi-trailers annually.
NORCROSS, GA—Solar cell manufacturer Suniva Inc. will invest nearly $100 million to expand its headquarters here, creating up to 500 jobs. The project will triple manufacturing capacity at the facility.
